AYRE supports Yorkshire’s Children of Courage Awards 2019 for second year

The Yorkshire Children of Courage Awards celebrated its ninth year earlier this month, with a fantastic celebration at New Dock Hall in Leeds.

It was the second year that AYRE supported the event, which sees 600 people come together to ‘honour and recognise courageous young people in Yorkshire’, whilst also serving as a significant annual fundraiser for the St. James’s Place Foundation.

We worked closely with the Foundation in the lead-up to the event, providing extensive event consultation, a service we have found to be of real value to our clients, whether they are seasoned professionals or event planning novices. We advised on timescales, event layout and running orders amongst other finer details, and also liaised directly with other suppliers and entertainment providers to ensure we were prepared to meet their requirements and that everything was coordinated to arrive on-time and run smoothly.

In addition to sponsoring the event, we provided complete technical support and a custom-built set, hand crafted by our team here at AYRE. The set was a bespoke, 3D-effect build, which incorporated a central 12-foot screen and two additional 10-foot screens either side of the stage, making certain that none of the guests missed a single detail of the spectacular evening. It was the largest set used at the event to date, and provided a unique backdrop for the awards ceremony.

We also provided lighting, audio and technical support to bring the event to life, with two of our talented technicians on hand throughout the evening to manage audio levels, microphones, lighting and presentations, giving the Foundation the confidence that the evening would go without a hitch.

Hosted by ITV’s Christine Talbot and Jon Hammond, the event is one of the highlights of the Yorkshire social calendar with several celebrities in attendance, including Paul Chuckle, Eorl Crabtree and Natalie Anderson.

The event raised a phenomenal £30,000 for St James’s Place Foundation and it was an honour to once again be involved in the event.
